Addiction Medicine Research

Research in the Division of Addiction Medicine spans clinical pharmacology and pharmacogenetics, clinical trials for the treatment of psychostimulant use disorder, implementation science, and educational interventions. We service as the lead for the NorthStar node of the National Institute on Drug Abuse Clinical Trials Network. We partner with other major research teams at Hennepin Healthcare including the Health, Homelessness, and Criminal Justice Lab and the Behavioral Health Equity Research Group. NorthStar’s external research partners include the Native American Community Clinic, all major health systems in Minnesota, the University of Wisconsin-Madison, the University of Iowa Health, the University of Missouri Kansas City, and Duke University.
